Goodbye Kruger/hello Jo'Berg
Friday 6/10/17
Today we leave Shishangeni Lodge early as usual and take our last drive through Kruger to get back to Johannesburg and then tomorrow to go to Victoria Falls.
We have had a successful 3 days and have seen the big 5 the mini five and many others. On the drive back to Crocodile Bridge Gate, we see a great water buffalo and more elephants. and a kudo which is a bit like an impala but bigger and more delicious.

We then swap to the coach at Crocodile Bridge and drive to the airport at Nespruit.
I run quickly into the terminal to find a toilet and realize on my way out it is the men's... The urinals give it away as does the man coming in. I thought people had been giving me odd looks. Oh well, wrong toilets to go with wrong tour, wrong plane etc etc .
Our plane is delayed due to the weather and the enormous fog. we arrive at the airport about 9ish for the 10.10am departure but are only able to leave about 1.30.
In the meantime, there is nothing to do other than shop and drink. We find a bar...
From Johannesburg we have a bus waiting to take us to our hotel, the Radisson.
A great hotel and Johannesburg is an interesting place. We arrive too late for the Soweto tour that some in our party including Paul had booked. Oh well. Some people shop but others just rest. Dinner is the last one with Vanessa who Leaves us tomorrow so we have a bit of a send off. Oh and Christel, our tour leader advises the glasses that were lost have now been found. In the room at the lodge. So not the monkeys after all. Shame, that was a much better story.
